LimeWire VS FrostWire

The definition of Limewire and FrostWire
Limeiwire - LimeWire is a free peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) client for the Java platform, which uses the Gnutella network to locate files as well as share files. It also encourages the user to pay a fee, which will then give the user access to LimeWire PRO. Recently LimeWire opened its own store.

FrostWire - FrostWire is a peer-to-peer file sharing program for the Gnutella and BitTorrent protocols. FrostWire is written in Java, and is a fork of LimeWire, another popular Gnutella client. Released under the GNU General Public License, FrostWire is free software.


Search Results
One of our test was the search engine test. One method I did to see which one was better was test their search results. Since Limewire and Frostwire all contain pirated stuff, we instead used "kittens" for our search. When I typed "kittens" for an image search for Frostwire (btw, I was looking for kittens the animal, and people had all of these crazy "kitten" images), it showed the search result a lot faster than Limewire. Although Limewire's search speed was slower than Frostwire, it had a lot more search results than Frostwire. By searching "kittens", it showed 44 search results for "kittens", while Frostwire showed 26. In the end, despite Limewire's turtle search results, it clearly beats Frostwire in terms of the number of search results.


Download Speed
My last test was the download speed test. I tested the download speed of both contenders by downloading an episode of my favorite web series "Arby n Chief". To keep it fair, I downloaded the same video for both Frostwire and Limewire. When I clicked the download link for both bit torrent downloaders, Frostwire savagely beat Limewire's download time by 25 seconds (Frostwire downloaded the file in 15 seconds flat!)! Words could not describe how shocked I was when this outcome resulted. Clearly Frostwire had a faster download time than Limewire.

Summary
FrostWire is written in Java, and therefore is capable of supporting multiple platforms. While LimeWire is available in both free and paid versions, Frostwire, similar to LimeWire Pro, connects to 5 ultrapeers. The Non-pro version of LimeWire only connects to 3. This means that both Limewire Pro and Frostwire have potentially faster download speeds and broader search results.


FrostWire is released only as a free version. The FrostWire program includes all of the functionalities of LimeWire's free version, as well as a few features of LimeWire Pro's payment based upgrades. FrostWire also provides a chatroom, which is absent in LimeWire. FrostWire's interface is nearly identical to that of LimeWire's, since it is based on the same code base. However, the color scheme is slightly different. As in LimeWire, FrostWire's skin may be changed to a variety of different colors and shapes.


Despite the fact that Frostwire does not have a larger number of search results and looks almost identical to Limewire, its download speed, chat room feature and load time is the number reason why you should go with this bit-torrent downloader.

Many a times when you download software you will get it as a ISO or a CD image file formats which are just a image of the actual CD drive. An ISO file needs to be burned on a CD or DVD so that you can use or install the software.


For those who do not have a CD / DVD burner this may cause a lot of problems as those files will be rendered as useless.

Want to speed up your PC?

Try this tips:

1. Delete the unnecessary files that are saved on your computer. example: junk files or folders
2. Try cleaning your registry. Scan for registry errors and fix it. Use registry fixer tools or applications. example: Registry Mechanic or Advance System Care
3. If possible free up your main drive disk and install other applications at different location like your partitioned drives
4. Scan your drives regularly for virus, malware, and suspicious application checking.
5. After you've done all the steps. Restart your PC and your done.

AMD vs INTEL..

Budget/Pricing:

•  If you have limited budget and wants to max the performance of your desktop go for AMD (Advanced Micro Devices)
• If you have spare budget, wants compatibility and reliability, and wants your desktop to have good performance go for INTEL.

Graphic Cards:

• AMD - ATI
• INTEL -  NVIDIA 

Temperature of Processor:

• AMD - heats up faster.

Performance:

• Depends on your budget. They both perform at their best. It depends on the user if he/she knows how to tweak, OC, and other stuff that affects the performance the your desktop.

Latest Updates:

• AMD - AM3 family processors (example: AMD™ Phenom™ II X3 720 BE 'Black Edition' 2.8 ghz 3x512kb Triple-Core Processor box (AM3))
• INTEL - i family processors (example: Intel™ Core™ i7 860 2.8 ghz 8mb 4.8 GT/s box)

Other information:

• AMD - Released black edition processors which has blocked cores and can be unlocked through ACC (advanced clock calibration). Therefore a dual core black edition processor can become triple core or quad core depending on how many blocked cores it has. 

Summary:
If you have limited budget but wants to have maximum performance go for AMD because performance is guaranteed, pricing is less and your money will not go to waste. If you have spare budget and wants compatibility, reliability and performance go for INTEL because your money deserves those aspects.

This is all I know about the 2 processors. I don't want to act as if I know everything because I only know a little about them. I'm just a gamer. KOOBFACE Virus alert.

To all Social Network users please be aware of KOOBFACE Virus. Example of this is the OBAMA SCANDAL sharing. I'm not 100% sure of it but I'm just being aware. Some shared me this news and I just want to share it also to you so that your accounts will be safe and your private informations.

Koobface, an anagram of Facebook, is a computer worm that targets the users of the social networking websites Facebook, MySpace,^[1] hi5, Bebo, FriendsterTwitter^[2]. Koobface ultimately attempts, upon successful infection, to gather sensitive information from the victims such as credit card numbers. It was first detected in December 2008 and a more potent version appeared in March 2009.^[3] and

Koobface spreads by delivering Facebook messages to people who are 'friends' of a Facebook user whose computer has already been infected. Upon receipt, the message directs the recipients to a third-party website, where they are prompted to download what is purported to be an update of the Adobe Flash player. If they download and execute the file, Koobface is able to infect their system. It can then commandeer the computer's search engine use and direct it to contaminated websites.

Among the components downloaded by Koobface are a DNS filter program that blocks access to well known security websites and a proxy tool that enables the attackers to abuse the infected PC.

Several variants of the worm have been identified:

• Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.a, which attacks MySpace
• Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.b, which attacks Facebook.^[4]
• WORM_KOOBFACE.DC, which attacks Twitter.^[5]
• W32/Koobfa-Gen, which attacks Facebook, MySpace, hi5, Bebo, Friendster, myYearbook, Tagged, Netlog, Badoo and fubar.^[6][7]

The Windows operating system is currently the only operating system affected by this worm. Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool removes Koobface.^[8]

Multiple log in for yahoo messenger...

Steps on how to do Multiple log in for yahoo messenger:

1. For Windows XP: Go to Start>Run type regedit and press enter. For Vista or Windows 7: Go to Start> type regedit at the search bar and press enter.
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Yahoo>Pager>Test
3. On the right panel or window: right click, choose new and press DWORD VALUE.
4. After you've created the DWORD VALUE rename it as PLURAL
5. Double click it and set Value Data to 1. Make sure its base is at Hexadecimal.
6. Done. Restart your yahoo messenger.

Note:

If you want to open another messenger simply click the Yahoo Messenger icon or shortcut.
