Want to speed up your PC?

Try this tips:

1. Delete the unnecessary files that are saved on your computer. example: junk files or folders
2. Try cleaning your registry. Scan for registry errors and fix it. Use registry fixer tools or applications. example: Registry Mechanic or Advance System Care
3. If possible free up your main drive disk and install other applications at different location like your partitioned drives
4. Scan your drives regularly for virus, malware, and suspicious application checking.
5. After you've done all the steps. Restart your PC and your done.

•  If you have limited budget and wants to max the performance of your desktop go for AMD (Advanced Micro Devices)
• If you have spare budget, wants compatibility and reliability, and wants your desktop to have good performance go for INTEL.

Graphic Cards:

• AMD - ATI
• INTEL -  NVIDIA 

Temperature of Processor:

• AMD - heats up faster.

Performance:

• Depends on your budget. They both perform at their best. It depends on the user if he/she knows how to tweak, OC, and other stuff that affects the performance the your desktop.

Latest Updates:

• AMD - AM3 family processors (example: AMD™ Phenom™ II X3 720 BE 'Black Edition' 2.8 ghz 3x512kb Triple-Core Processor box (AM3))
• INTEL - i family processors (example: Intel™ Core™ i7 860 2.8 ghz 8mb 4.8 GT/s box)

Other information:

• AMD - Released black edition processors which has blocked cores and can be unlocked through ACC (advanced clock calibration). Therefore a dual core black edition processor can become triple core or quad core depending on how many blocked cores it has. 

Summary:
If you have limited budget but wants to have maximum performance go for AMD because performance is guaranteed, pricing is less and your money will not go to waste. If you have spare budget and wants compatibility, reliability and performance go for INTEL because your money deserves those aspects.

This is all I know about the 2 processors. I don't want to act as if I know everything because I only know a little about them. I'm just a gamer. KOOBFACE Virus alert.

To all Social Network users please be aware of KOOBFACE Virus. Example of this is the OBAMA SCANDAL sharing. I'm not 100% sure of it but I'm just being aware. Some shared me this news and I just want to share it also to you so that your accounts will be safe and your private informations.

From Wikepedia:

Koobface, an anagram of Facebook, is a computer worm that targets the users of the social networking websites Facebook, MySpace,^[1] hi5, Bebo, FriendsterTwitter^[2]. Koobface ultimately attempts, upon successful infection, to gather sensitive information from the victims such as credit card numbers. It was first detected in December 2008 and a more potent version appeared in March 2009.^[3] and

Koobface spreads by delivering Facebook messages to people who are 'friends' of a Facebook user whose computer has already been infected. Upon receipt, the message directs the recipients to a third-party website, where they are prompted to download what is purported to be an update of the Adobe Flash player. If they download and execute the file, Koobface is able to infect their system. It can then commandeer the computer's search engine use and direct it to contaminated websites.

Among the components downloaded by Koobface are a DNS filter program that blocks access to well known security websites and a proxy tool that enables the attackers to abuse the infected PC.

Several variants of the worm have been identified:

• Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.a, which attacks MySpace
• Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.b, which attacks Facebook.^[4]
• WORM_KOOBFACE.DC, which attacks Twitter.^[5]
• W32/Koobfa-Gen, which attacks Facebook, MySpace, hi5, Bebo, Friendster, myYearbook, Tagged, Netlog, Badoo and fubar.^[6][7]

The Windows operating system is currently the only operating system affected by this worm. Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool removes Koobface.^[8]

Steps on how to do Multiple log in for yahoo messenger:

1. For Windows XP: Go to Start>Run type regedit and press enter. For Vista or Windows 7: Go to Start> type regedit at the search bar and press enter.
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Yahoo>Pager>Test
3. On the right panel or window: right click, choose new and press DWORD VALUE.
4. After you've created the DWORD VALUE rename it as PLURAL
5. Double click it and set Value Data to 1. Make sure its base is at Hexadecimal.
6. Done. Restart your yahoo messenger.

Note:

If you want to open another messenger simply click the Yahoo Messenger icon or shortcut.

Steps on how to make your uTorrent download speed faster:

1. Open uTorrent>Options>Preferences. Shortcut Ctrl + P.
2. Go to Connections. Find Port used for incoming connections: Type 45682
3. Go to Bandwidth. For Global Upload Rate Limiting: Set limit for Maximum upload rate (kB/s): [0: unlimited] = 28 and leave the box for Alternate upload rate when not downloading (kB/s): unchecked. For Global Download Rate Limiting: Set Maximum download rate (kB/s): [0: unlimited] = 1890. For Number of Connections: Set Global maximum numbers of connections: 200, Set Maximum number of connected peers per torrent: 2329, Set Number of uploads slots per torrent: 14 and check the box for Use additional upload slots if upload speed < 90%
4. Go to Queueing. For Queue Settings: Set Maximum number of active torrents (upload or download): 60 and set Maximum number of active downloads: 63. For Seed While [Default Values]: Set Ratio is: <= 100 % or seeding time is: <= (min): 0 and check the box for Seeding tasks have higher priority than downloading task. For When uTorrent Reaches the Seeding Goal: check the box for Limit the upload rate to (kB/s): [0: stop] = 4.
5. Restart your pc. Hope it'll work for you. It worked for me.

Different Types of Computer Viruses

There are Different Types of Computer Viruses could be classified in (origin, techniques, types of files they infect, where they hide, the kind of damage they cause, the type of operating system or platform they attack) etc. Let us have a look at them…

Computer Virus is a kind of malicious software written intentionally to enter a computer without the user’s permission or knowledge, with an ability to replicate itself, thus continuing to spread. Some viruses do little but replicate others can cause severe harm or adversely effect program and performance of the system. A virus should never be assumed harmless and left on a system. Most common types of viruses are mentioned below:

• Resident Viruses
  This type of virus is a permanent which dwells in the RAM memory. From there it can overcome and interrupt all of the operations executed by the system: corrupting files and programs that are opened, closed, copied, renamed etc.
  
  Examples include: Randex, CMJ, Meve, and MrKlunky.
• Direct Action Viruses
  The main purpose of this virus is to replicate and take action when it is executed. When a specific condition is met, the virus will go into action and infect files in the directory or folder that it is in and in directories that are specified in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file PATH. This batch file is always located in the root directory of the hard disk and carries out certain operations when the computer is booted.
• Overwrite Viruses
  Virus of this kind is characterized by the fact that it deletes the information contained in the files that it infects, rendering them partially or totally useless once they have been infected.
  
  The only way to clean a file infected by an overwrite virus is to delete the file completely, thus losing the original content.
  
  Examples of this virus include: Way, Trj.Reboot, Trivial.88.D.
• Boot Virus
  This type of virus affects the boot sector of a floppy or hard disk. This is a crucial part of a disk, in which information on the disk itself is stored together with a program that makes it possible to boot (start) the computer from the disk.
  
  The best way of avoiding boot viruses is to ensure that floppy disks are write-protected and never start your computer with an unknown floppy disk in the disk drive.
  
  Examples of boot viruses include: Polyboot.B, AntiEXE.
• Macro Virus
  Macro viruses infect files that are created using certain applications or programs that contain macros. These mini-programs make it possible to automate series of operations so that they are performed as a single action, thereby saving the user from having to carry them out one by one.
  
  Examples of macro viruses: Relax, Melissa.A, Bablas, O97M/Y2K.
• Directory Virus
  Directory viruses change the paths that indicate the location of a file. By executing a program (file with the extension .EXE or .COM) which has been infected by a virus, you are unknowingly running the virus program, while the original file and program have been previously moved by the virus.
  
  Once infected it becomes impossible to locate the original files.
• Polymorphic Virus
  Polymorphic viruses encrypt or encode themselves in a different way (using different algorithms and encryption keys) every time they infect a system.
  
  This makes it impossible for anti-viruses to find them using string or signature searches (because they are different in each encryption) and also enables them to create a large number of copies of themselves.
  
  Examples include: Elkern, Marburg, Satan Bug, and Tuareg.
• File Infectors
  This type of virus infects programs or executable files (files with an .EXE or .COM extension). When one of these programs is run, directly or indirectly, the virus is activated, producing the damaging effects it is programmed to carry out. The majority of existing viruses belong to this category, and can be classified depending on the actions that they carry out.
• Companion Viruses
  Companion viruses can be considered file infector viruses like resident or direct action types. They are known as companion viruses because once they get into the system they "accompany" the other files that already exist. In other words, in order to carry out their infection routines, companion viruses can wait in memory until a program is run (resident viruses) or act immediately by making copies of themselves (direct action viruses).
  
  Some examples include: Stator, Asimov.1539, and Terrax.1069
• FAT Virus
  The file allocation table or FAT is the part of a disk used to connect information and is a vital part of the normal functioning of the computer.
  This type of virus attack can be especially dangerous, by preventing access to certain sections of the disk where important files are stored. Damage caused can result in information losses from individual files or even entire directories.

Mozilla Firefox VS Google Chrome..

Start-up Time:

• Mozilla - it takes up to 3-7 seconds to open up the browser. Also Mozilla Firefox depends on the connection you have.
• Google Chrome - takes only a second to open up the browser disregarding the connection you have.

Memory Consumption:

• Mozilla - less memory with 5 tabs averaging 50-80mb
• Google Chrome - much memory with 5 tabs averaging 70-90mb

Address Bar:

• Mozilla - Firefox 3 gives you URL suggestions when you start to type in a web address. These include your favorites and pages you’ve visited recently. Unfortunately the top suggestions are never what I’m looking for so I’m not impressed with this feature. What is neat is if you type enough letters it gives you the exact page you want – great if you’ve forgotten the address but know what it was about (it records the page title for reference).
• Google Chrome - Chrome’s address bar on the other hand is also its search box. It has access to Google’s web results so offers you search suggestions as well as relevant web pages out of those you’ve already visited. Unlike Firefox it doesn’t just search the page title, it searches the whole page to find your phrase. This makes for fantastic results.

Stability: 

• Mozilla - when 1 tab misbehaves you'll need to close all the windows and restart all over again.
• Google Chrome - when 1 tab misbehaves you can simple close the tab.

Zooming:

• I go for Mozilla 

Logo: ^_^

• I go for Mozilla Firefox.

This is my review about the 2 browser.. again, its still your own decision whether to choose Mozilla or Google Chrome. I'm not paid in making this review. alternative anti virus for your pc..

Early February, I've been searching Anti-Virus to protect my computer from threats, malware, suspicious files and viruses. I've tried many AV's like ESET NOD32, AVG, Kaspersky, and Norton and yes they perform great but takes a lot of memory in scanning except for ESET NOD32 my problem was compatibility with Vista 32 bit. My uncle recommended me F-Secure for Workstations Anti-Virus. He had already been using this AV for 5 years now and yet this AV didn't fail him. I've search through the net and downloaded it. I tried this for a week and really its performance is great. I did not encounter any viruses. Again I've tried to search this for tweaks (you know what it is) and finally I've found one.

This is one of a kind or one of the best Anti-virus being released in the market. "Protecting the irreplaceable". 

have nothing much to say.. If you want to protect your computer from virus and malwares and etc that can destroy your files better protect it with f-secure. Guaranteed performance.

New Guide mode
In-camera guidance is provided by the new Guide mode, which employs an easy-to-use interface that makes it easy for first-time users to select shooting modes. Additionally, after selecting an item in Guide mode, camera settings can be further adjusted in order to obtain optimal results.

Nikon DX-format CCD sensor; 10.2 effective megapixels
At 10.2 effective megapixels, the D3000 produces high-resolution images that enable beautiful enlargements without loss of sharpness. Normal ISO sensitivity is ISO 100 to 1600 but for added shooting versatility, a Hi 1 setting increases sensitivity to ISO 3200.

EXPEED image processing system
The D3000 is equipped with Nikon’s EXPEED image processing system. EXPEED realises excellent resolution, long tonal scale, and superb colour while also making possible fast processing of the D3000’s advanced imaging functions such as Scene Recognition and Active D-Lighting.

Scene Recognition System
This feature improves accuracy for exposure, white balance, and autofocus by analysing colour and illumination over the entire scene milliseconds prior to shooting. It then adjusts the camera settings accordingly for optimal picture quality.

Active D-Lighting
The D3000 incorporates Nikon’s Active D-Lighting function which can vastly improve shadows and highlights of high-contrast scenes. Like the Scene Recognition System, Active D-Lighting utilises the 420-pixel RGB sensor to analyse a scene then adjust exposure to achieve images that closely resemble what the human eye sees. During processing, this function also restores details in the highlight and shadow areas of the image that may have been lost.

11-point AF system with Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus sensor module
Employing 11-point autofocus, driven by Nikon’s Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus sensor module, the D3000 delivers fast, precise focus over a wide area of the frame. Four versatile AF modes are available: single-point AF for stationary subjects, especially ones that are off-centre; dynamic-area AF for moving subjects; auto-area AF when you want the D3000 to automatically determine the proper focus method; and 3D-tracking (11 points) AF for maintaining focus on subjects even if the composition changes.

3.0-in. LCD monitor
Image playback and viewing menus is now easier than ever thanks to the 3.0-in., 230k-dot TFT LCD monitor. Text size is also 20% larger than on previous Nikon digital SLR cameras.

Picture Control System
The Picture Control System gives users the ability to customise key digital image capture characteristics to suit personal preferences.Six settings are available: Standard, Neutral, Vivid, Monochrome, Portrait, and Landscape.

In-camera photo editing
After shooting, the D3000’s photo editing functions allow for in-camera retouching, reducing the need for a computer to enhance or modify images. The D3000 introduces a new Miniature effect under its Retouch Menu that modifies images to look like pictures of miniature models. Each editing function is applied to a copy of the image, with the original left unmodified.

Nikon Integrated Dust Reduction System
Dust reduction is handled by the Nikon Integrated Dust Reduction System. This is a comprehensive solution that reduces the generation and accumulation of dust as well as measures to remove dust. A key element of the solution is the Airflow Control System, which directs dust away from the image sensor. The system also includes an image sensor cleaning function that activates automatically when the D3000 is powered on or off. This vibrates the low-pass filter (located in front of the sensor) to free it from dust.

The D3000 opens up a wide range of possibilities for creative shooting thanks to full compatibility with the extensive lineup of NIKKOR AF-S and AF-I lenses. From ultra wide-angle and micro to super telephoto, NIKKOR lenses give users the means to explore their creativity to the fullest.
